The Ugly Truth about PND

I have always thought of myself as a strong, independent person and then I fell apart. Taking on the task as the presenter for the PND workshop I hesitated since I have no formal qualification until one day someone told me that my qualification is that I AM A MOM and I suffered severely from PND. I happen to be blessed with the most amazing little girl, but my journey through motherhood and 16 months of hell have brought me to a place where I can share with you, the UGLY TRUTH about PND. My focus as a woman who has been through this is to educate and break the stigma attached to PND. I have no medical degree that enables me to discuss the chemical issues or scientific reasons as to why this happens but rather my experience through this allows me to discuss this on a social level and how accepting this as something normal is the only way we can move forward with it.

I come from an advertising background, a sound career and corporate ladder were mine to climb, but I gave that all up and started Preggi Perfect Retreat in order to provide a place where women can learn about those things that nobody else prepares you for. I feel that if women where better prepared, the adjustment to motherhood would be that much easier.

We also process and store peripheral blood stem cells for oncology patients around Gauteng. Netcells laboratory has been built according to international standards and is situated in Midrand, Johannesburg.

Lynne Keet
Sportron Representative

My name is Lynne Keet and I am the mother of 2 Darling Angels that were sent from heaven to complete my life. My family is my number one priority and so is their health. I worked in the Leather (10 years) and Laboratory Industry (2 years) and in 2010 I decided to take the year off to spend more time with my family and to improve my abilities. I am currently studying for a Diploma in Marketing (1st year) through IMM and loving it.

I got actively involved with Sportron when my son Kaden was hospitalized for Asthmatic Bronchitis and they told me that he will always have asthma but hopefully he will grow out of it. I turned to Sportron and they provided me with two miracle products. My son has been on Sportron's Respitron and Phytogard since 2007 and his asthma is gone. I am a firm believer in all their products as I have tried 80% of them and they all work. My workshop will consist of why nutrition is important during pregnancy for you and baby, how to get your energy levels up and to get your body back.

Conrad Bonorchis
The Reality of Fatherhood and Just in Case

Conrad is an older dad and has had plenty of life experience and was super prepared for fatherhood, or so he thought.....and along came baby and a whole lot of new life experiences!

Conrad is an IT Consultant working in the Health and Safety field and big part of his business is sharing knowledge. Come listen to a humorous talk on a serious and neglected subject.... the scary reality of becoming a dad when baby makes an appearance. The emphasis of this process is on baby and mom, and dad is forgotten along the way. Dads, this talk will raise your awareness of your importance in this process, supporting your wife and bonding with your little one. The more you are involved, the greater the reward.....and your wife will love you for it too! *nudge**nudge**wink**wink*

Conrad's second talk is about being prepared for the unspeakable. We all say it will never happen to us, but what if it does? Are you ready for that? What mess do you leave behind for your wife to sort out? Conrad speaks from the heart on a subject close to home, having seen a friend drop dead and his wife having to struggling through tears to sort out his life, and then personally having had a close brush with death in the form of a brain tumour and being told by his neurosurgeon "Get your affairs in order". Its a tough subject, but the message of Just in Case is clear - "Get your affairs in order, you owe it to your wife and children"
